AMD Expands FSR 4.1 to Radeon RX 6000 Cards, APUs and Vulkan
Quick Report
AMD is bringing FSR 4.1 to its Radeon RX 6000 lineup, spanning the RX 6950 XT through the RX 6400, and to additional integrated graphics platforms. The announced APU families include Ryzen AI Max, Ryzen AI 9, and Ryzen Z2; AMD also confirmed the upscaler is headed to Xbox Series X and Series S.
The expansion adds support for RDNA 2 hardware that was not part of the initial RX 7000-focused rollout. AMD also plans a Vulkan implementation, opening another route for developers to integrate the feature. The company did not give a firm availability date in this announcement and said it is working on support for more APU models.
