NVIDIA Unveils RTX PRO 5500 Blackwell Workstation GPU With 84 GB GDDR7 Memory

Quick Report

NVIDIA has added the RTX PRO 5500 Blackwell to its professional visualization lineup, pairing a GB202 GPU with 21,760 CUDA cores and 84 GB of GDDR7 memory. The memory uses a 416-bit bus and delivers approximately 1,398 GB/s of bandwidth, while 28 memory modules are arranged across both sides of the PCB.

The card sits below the RTX PRO 6000 but far above the RTX PRO 5000 in memory capacity and compute resources. NVIDIA rates it at a 600 W TDP and offers air-cooled and liquid-cooled designs for workstation and rack deployments. Multi-instance GPU support can split the 84 GB pool into two 42 GB instances, although pricing and availability have not yet been announced.
