AMD Brings FSR Upscaling 4.1 to Radeon RX 7000 and RX 6000 GPUs

Quick Report

AMD has officially expanded FSR Upscaling 4.1 beyond RDNA 4 and onto Radeon RX 7000 Series cards, with support for more than 300 games arriving this July. The company says the same model now works on RDNA 3 hardware, while Radeon RX 6000 support is planned for early 2027.

The port matters because AMD is trying to bring its newer machine-learning upscaling stack to older GPUs instead of keeping it limited to RX 9000 boards. AMD notes that RDNA 4 can use FP8 and INT8 paths, while RDNA 3 relies on INT8-only hardware, which explains some of the delay; RDNA 2 needs even more work and is being pushed further out.
