Kioxia XG10 Brings PCIe 5.0 Client SSDs to PC OEMs

Quick Report

Kioxia introduced the XG10 series, a new PCIe 5.0 client SSD line aimed at PC OEMs that need higher-end storage for premium systems. The drives are meant to replace the XG8 family and push both sequential and random performance higher for modern client workloads.

The XG10 tops out at 14,000 MB/s read and 12,000 MB/s write, with random performance reaching up to 2,000K read IOPS and 1,600K write IOPS. Capacities range from 512 GB to 4 TB, and the drives also support TCG Opal-based self-encryption while sampling now for OEM systems that should ship later in 2026.
