Microsoft has announced that it will offer extended security updates for Windows Home users for a price of 30 USD for a year after EOL. This is a significant change from the previous policy of offering extended security updates as it was earlier limited to Enterprise editions of Windows and LTSC versions.
Ayaneo has announced the release of Starship dock eGPU and will be hitting the shelves in November 2024 priced at $599. It features a AMD Radeon 7600M XT and the dock includes a USB 4 PD, DC IN, RJ45, DP2.0, HDMI2.1, OCULink and USB-A ports. There are rumours of 7800M XT coming in 2025 but not officially confirmed.
During the 2024 RISC-V Summit in Santa Clara, California, NVIDIA was one of the presenting members. RISC-V, a free and open-source ISA (Instruction Set Architecture) making an interesting choice for many companies who wants to develop custom cores. NVIDIA developed their custom RISC-V core called NV-RISCV which replaced its predecessor Falcon.
