Silkland Announces H96, World's First Certified Ultra96 HDMI Cable Series

Quick Report

Silkland has announced the H96 series, described as the first consumer HDMI cable line certified for Ultra96 operation. The initial 2 m S2705 and 3 m S2707 models are available from $32.99, use aluminum-alloy housings and braided nylon jackets, and carry certification labels that can be verified through the official HDMI website.

With 96 Gbps of bandwidth, the cables support uncompressed 4K at 240 Hz and 8K at 60 Hz with full 4:4:4 chroma. With DSC enabled, Silkland lists support for 4K at 480 Hz, 8K at 240 Hz, and 16K at 60 Hz, along with HDMI 2.2 LIP, VRR, ALLM, QMS, and eARC. The cables remain backward-compatible with current 48 Gbps HDMI 2.1 devices.
