Fujitsu Launches Made-in-Japan Next-Generation CPU Fujitsu-MONAKA and Server
Quick Report
Fujitsu has announced global sales of its Japan-developed FUJITSU-MONAKA processor and the Fujitsu MONAKA Server, with availability beginning in November 2026. The CPU reaches up to 3.8 GHz, supports 8,800 MT/s memory, and is designed for efficient AI inference, confidential computing, and sovereign infrastructure.
MONAKA uses a 3D-stacked design with a 2 nm core process and 5 nm cache and I/O sections, plus dedicated matrix-operation instructions and SVE2 support. Fujitsu claims twice the AI inference throughput of competing CPUs and says the server can reduce cooling power by up to 80 percent. Japan-made 1U and 2U systems will target AI, enterprise, defense, and HPC customers in Japan and Europe before broader global availability.
