Modder Behind GTA 5's Switch Port Is Now Bringing It to Android

Quick Report

The same modder behind the unofficial native GTA 5 port for the Nintendo Switch is now working on a version for Android devices. The port is reportedly aimed at Arm-based phones, starting with Snapdragon hardware and requiring around 8 GB of RAM, 65 GB of storage, and a Snapdragon 865-class device for the first public builds.

The project is not a Windows-on-Android compatibility layer; it is a native Arm build that borrows from the Switch port's codebase and the leaked GTA 5 source. That makes it more interesting than simple emulation, but it is still early and unofficial, with Exynos, Tensor, and MediaTek support still absent for the moment. If it progresses, it could reshape the idea of running large open-world games on handheld Android devices.
