Microsoft Releases Windows 11 24H2 and Rolling Out With Few Gotchas

Microsoft has released Windows 11 24H2 aka 2024 Update, which is the first major update to Windows 11 since they skipped bi-annual release cadence and simply switched to yearly OS upgrades to streamline better quality control.
Windows 11 2024 is focussed on adding Generative AI aka GenAI with Copilot+ PCs with greater than 40 TOPS on NPUs featuring Intel Arrowlake, AMD Zen 5 and Snapdragon X Plus/Elite SoC/CPUs. The update brings super-resolution for Photos app, generative fill/erase in Paint app, Click-To-Do and Recall.
The update adds support for the following features:
- Enhanced Battery Saver
- Bluetooth LE audio;
- HDR background support
- Wi-Fi 7
24H2/2024 update also marks availability of LTSC (Long-Term Servicing Channel) 2024 version of Windows 11 made for Business or Enterprise customers.
There are some reports of issues such as Fingerprint scanner not working, Asphalt 8 crashing, Intel Smart Sound Technology driver issue and other issues.
Users can download the x64 ISO from here and ARM64 will be available in the coming weeks.
