ASMedia ASM4242 Gets Thunderbolt 4 Certification From Intel

ASMedia’s ASM4242 Host controller Chip has been certified by Intel as Thunderbolt 4/USB4 compliant after stringent testing. It offers 40Gbps of data transmission speed, daisy chain 5 displays and 100W fast PD charging.

The chip is backward compatible with older USB and Thunderbolt standards. It will be good to see it more motherboards,laptops and other devices.
