Intel Axes 10,000 Jobs to Save USD 10 Billion Globally

According to close sources of Bloomberg, Intel has decided to layoff 10,000 employees to save $10 Billion globally by 2025. It is reported that Intel has around 110,000 employees and after layoffs it would be 100,000. This excludes subsidiaries such as Altera FPGA and others.

Intel has not official put the news out yet. As intel CEO’s statement to heavily invest and build chip foundries to tackle AI/HPC demands and compete with TSMC. It is not clear whether it affects middle management or not. Let us wait and watch!
